Siraj Mia Memorial Foundation

A brief summary
Siraj Mia Memorial Foundation was created by my father in 2005 in memory of my grandfather Siraj Mia who passed away in 1984. The aim of this foundation is to give back to the society which has given us so much. The foundation regularly arranges programs to help the poor and donates directly to low-income households. From education to healthcare to poverty, the foundation slowly but surely is tackling all of these grounds and making Bangladesh a better place one day at a time.

Siraj Mia Memorial Model School

The first project started from this foundation was to build the best bangla medium school in Badda area. The school was aptly named Siraj Mia Memorial Model School and it now consists of around 1800 students and around 100 teachers. It’s now the go-to place for students who want to get high-quality education at an affordable expense. And when students come from low income backgrounds, scholarships up to 100% are granted to ensure their future in the school.

The next big thing

Siraj Mia Memorial Foundation has purchased a land 5 times the size of the current campus (1.5 acres to be exact) in Dhaka and is in the planning stages of building an English medium school and college which should be among the best schools in Dhaka city.

Other activities

Charitable work is always going on from the foundation in both small and large scale projects. Currently we are fully focused on helping the society to get through the Covid-19 pandemic. I’ve written a full article about it which you can read by clicking here.
